Hey! ANY LAST MINUTE THOUGHTS FOR THINGS TO DO/SEE IN LONDON?
Not the standard trourist stuff (I've already got all that on my list), but anything that someone for the US wouldn't readily know about that is a must see? Clubs, Restaurants, Bars, Museums, etc. - I'll be there for 7 nights starting Wednesday.
Thanks in advance if you think of anything.
Friday from 4PM (best getting there early as it'll fill up later on) - CellarDoor (google it, not far from Covent Garden)
9PM there's cabaret, but before 7, drinks are 30% off all drinks, cocktails, absinthe etc
Used to be a toilet where Oscar Wilde went... Nice atmosphere, one of the few hidden treasures. You approach it from a stairway in the middle of the street

As a newcomer to London here a few things I have very much enjoyed...

Maltby Street market (Saturday 9am - 2pm) - buy a custard doughnut from the St. Johns bakery and make your way to The Kernel brewery. Buy a drink and enjoy it with your doughnut!

Bars -

The Craft Beer Co
The Rake (near London Bridge station / Borough market) - a tasty pint and a bowl of Olives = heaven
The Market Porter - same as above
The Harp (Covent Garden)

Museum of Brands, Notting Hill

The 2nd hand CD shops in Camden are IMMENSE if that's your sort of thing. I think half my CD collection is from there, if not more.
Not to mention cheaper than anywhere else in the country I have been to.

I think with 38 songs they won't do surprises...it's a lot of song. Maybe a last xmas intro to something.

Though it would be nice to hear an ignored single, I doubt they'll do anything other than the 38 on NT, with a possible Motown Junk intro. Can't complain about the lack of songs though, sure it'll be a fantastic show. Could even make it into the top five longest gigs I've seen (and let's face it, The Cure and The Mars Volta set the bar pretty high).

At least they'll play 38 songs! A The Mars Volta gig can actually last for many hours, but they only play 3 or 4 songs

Awesome! 3 of the nights I'm staying in Camden. I could go crazy in a good used cd shop.

And thanks to everyone else for the other ideas. See you at the show!
