I fucked a knee a few years ago, making it painful to go up and down stairs. The physio told me to stop going to the gym and do some demotivating exercises twice a day.
After 6 months of doing that and feeling like an unfit invalid, I said screw it - back to the gym and took up biking. A little after christmas I tried running again. I now run 3 5Ks a week.
