Additionally, Voodoo Polaroids was a b-side, Umbrella was a freebie with NME that was later put on iTunes but not released as a single, and Jackie did get some promotion and a video but never came out physically due to their intention to release no singles from Journal (a missed opportunity). What I find odd is that they left out Repeat (a double a-side) and Nobody Loved You (another single in Japan).
I'm aware of most of that and LOVED hearing New Art Riot live (it was the first time Id heard that song live and I went to a few gigs back in the 90s where the early stuff was ignored). PCP didnt have a video if I recall and Faster was the one that got radio play and TOTP appearance so I never really saw PCP as a single (I actually own the Faster single and always saw PCP as the worst track on it and a b-side). But you are of course right in essence it was a single left off NT.

I had no idea Further Away was a single in Japan - but just seen a video online of it and James mentions that before playing it.

I also didn't really see Suicide Alley as a single as I think the Manics made it themselves and only pressed about 300 copies. In which case, one of the bands I managed could also say they released a single. But hey we're not complaining. Great song!!

Agree Repeat and Nobody Loved You should have been played if they're using the "these were singles too" rule. Rather than a Singles Tour, it seems to be the band just mix the sets around depending on the audience. Their singles back ctalogue stretches us to almost 50 songs in essence...

No real complaints though, the Tokyo gig was excellent a real return to the good old days of the mid 90s. Will hotly anticipate a new album and another tour.

This band are far too good to ever end or split up. Absolutely fantastic.
