Las Vegas Manics things

I'm heading over to Las Vegas next week, wondering if anybody knows any Manics sights etc i should get to? I know its not somewhere traditionally associated with the band, but its worth seeing if i've missed something in all these years! I've got a list of the four record shops in the city to visit, any other recommendations?

Ta

I've been there twice, last time was last October for my birthday, didn't see anything Manics at all but then I wasn't looking. You might find a single or album in a record shop but you'll have to venture off of the Strip, which isn't something I'd recommend, especially in the down town area. Good luck and have fun

Can't think of owt Manics related, but if you fancy being blown away by something while you're there go and see Penn & Teller. And if you share the political views of the band, tell P&T after the gig. They'll keep you there all night to tell you why you're wrong (in the most polite way possible, of course)

Also you might want to visit the indoor theme park inside Circus, Circus before it gets demolished. And try the rides on top of the Stratosphere (pics or it didn't happen). Also, the Bodies exhibition in the Luxor is really, really interesting and educational, if you're into that sort of thing. Make sure you go out at night to see everything in its full glory. The bridge over to the MGM has a homeless lady that lives there and her cat wears shades and a waistcoat.

Tl;dr, no Manics, please take me with you.

I'd go to the Pawn Stars shop. Nothing Manics related though.

Ah, so Penn an Teller are on the wrong side of the fence eh? I'm seeing them, but i dont know anything about them, not even where they're actually performing, sure somebody else in the group knows!

I suspect my most manics bit will be trying to pick up THB or Stars and Stripes. On a slight tangeant, its effing hot over here, i think i've found where all of Europe's summers have gone lately...

Libertarian and batshit crazy! They're at the Rio, so depending at which end of the strip you're staying at it could be a long walk, but there's decent views. It's a great show, Teller's goldfish trick will make you cry.

the only possible Manics related thing i can think of in Vegas would be an Elvis Impersonator, something i imagine they have an abundance of?

Pawn Stars is an ace show. why not take a duplicate (or if in need buy a cheap one) Manics CD, t-shirt or something and just donate it to them? first prize would be getting on the TV show donating it, second prize would be having us try and spot it on the show. the next Manics fan to travel there could always buy it, assuming your average Vegas pawn store shopper doesn't pick it up first.

I have no idea about you but if I was in Vegas, I'd go to the freaking casino, that's what's Vegas for! (and quickie wedding but I ain't gonna do that yet!)
For an OP: you can find Manics references everywhere if you're trying to hard! I remember that I was really happy when I saw Dyson hand driers in Vienna!
