In all seriousness, I'd really like them to follow the Postcards route - regular CD, two-disc special edition book, Vinyl, and a nice snazzy boxset.

I know a lot of people loathe the boxsets, and I agree with a lot of the criticisms. The Postcards box was a ridiculous size for the contents, and the Postcards and NT boxes were a bit harsh on the wallet, and they really need to figure out how to parcel these things up properly... But I really love my beautiful handmade Postcards book. I love my NT box. I love little bits of merchandise like postcards and lipsticks and lanyards and random 7" singles. They do need to sort out the pricing and the value-for-money and what-not (though I thought the GT boxset was more or less perfect). At the very least, we could get the vinyl in a nice boxset, that'd be nice.

Quotes are going crazy. I said that not Winterlovers

Maybe the labels are the ones working on crashing the bands into each other.

I didn't wanted to be the first to say that.
They only had a few great songs before releasing their first album.

The Clash have a new compliation album coming out on the 9th of September, so it might appeal to them to release something the same day.

If this is anything like The Cure's last album, the second may not appear if the first doesn't do well. They were supposed to release a 'light' (ahem) and a 'dark' version of 4:13 but 4:13 Nightmare has never materialised, and after disappointing sales of 4:13 Dream Universal dropped them.

Hopefully that won't happen, but it's just like MSP to do something ambitious so publicly, that could come back and bite them.

I think it'll come out regardless, they still have a deal with Columbia for a number of albums which they signed around the time of PFAYM, or NT I think.
