Thank you for this info! <3

Thanks for the pics guys, I wasn't feeling too well just before the Manics came on (been ill recently) and had to go to the barrier at the far right hand side to feel a bit better. I heard them come on but didn't see them for the first three tracks. Then went right to the back at the side. For me it was the least involved Ive ever been at a gig and it felt a bit odd. Really glad I stuck it out, the sound was brilliant and James was on top form.

Glad everyone enjoyed it but I don't think I'd do FN6 again. The organisation was shocking, no info at all and I totally agree with one person we were talking to when they said "there's f*ck all to do". We were speaking to one of the staff there and even they had no idea what was happening and that was at 4.30pm

Portmeirion is beautiful and might visit again but I'll give the festival a miss.

Were you Amy? If so then it was a pleasure to have my username recognised by you.

It's like, this is a punk song you know. This is sort of what you do.
Ooh I think you ended up next to me on the barrier during ADFL! At least I remember a girl with a feather boa appearing next to me at that point anyway. I was the girl with glasses, dark hair and doing lots of shouty pointy Agree with you about the kids...just not the place for them to be for a gig like that. The little boy who got lifted over was barely tall enough to see over the barrier anyway, so it was a bit pointless him being there in the first place!

Yeah, I think I'd actually prefer to go back when it wasn't the festival...and preferably when the weather isn't so shit!

Glad you managed to stick it out too, despite not feeling well.

It was quite a long speech actually... I don't know if anyone has it on film, but I'll try and write down as much as I can remember.
It was basically along the lines of Nicky saying "No matter where we are be it (named some countries I can't remember) sometimes you look to your right and think fuck I wish Richey was still here. I just miss the fucking intellect and (other good things about Richey. Sorry my memory is patchy.) He would have destroyed all these other useless fuckers in bands with his wit and cheekbones. So this is for you. My dear boy."
It was intense, frankly. If anyone wants to add to/correct that feel free.

Whoo, good to see you on here. I'm very flattered. The lass you were speaking to was Astrogirl, who I'm sure will be on here shortly.

Hiya Amy! Hope your boa survived ok! Lovely to meet you at the screening

Thanks Amay for the vid... That helps explain some of the facial expressions I captured in the pics I posted earlier.

Sorry, I never really got round to posting a proper gig review... Still enjoying the novelty of sleeping in an actual bed with a roof over my head a bit too much. But yeah, it was brilliant. After a couple of years' break, you do kinda forget the feeling a little bit, but it all came right back.

Sincere apologies to anyone I railroaded in front of during NSAF... The adrenalin took hold and I was stuck in a sea of statues, so tried to get near to Franny and co, but just ended up pissing off all these nice, polite people. Soon managed to converge on a little 5-person pogo/mosh pit though, which was great fun.

Got slightly worried they weren't gonna play Revol, so went suitably bonkers when they did. I'm not a mad fan of Ready for Drowning, but was nice to hear a rare outing for it. RTF sounded amazing live and with Hawley.

Then we had a little #fmf party, featuring Manics scrabble. Which was the perfect contrary ending to an altogether contrary festival experience. I wouldn't have it any other way...

PS Shout out to the Welsh male voice choir, whose life-affirming rendition of ADFL in the plaza on Friday made me a lot less jealous of everyone in Newport!

Pps I also caught the last song of Cate Le Bon's set, which sounded gorgeous.

Seriously, has anyone ever referred to Revol as 'Lover', like Nicky was saying?

I forgot to ask, who actually won the scrabble?
