I was hoping that they'd release a DVD of the gig, but I don't remember seeing any camera's there. I could be wrong though.

No chance of a DVD. The cameras were just there to provide video for the big screens on the night, it was never actually recorded (or so we're told).

They'd be missing the big swooping overhead camera you normally see at such things, so it would only be a DVD of closeups.

You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, just look at the 'Cuba TV' footage of the Havana gig to see how that turns out!

I would say it was record in some shape or form for their own personal collection but not good enough for a proper DVD/Blu Ray release.

It's a shame they won't release a full album even if it's just via download. Seperating the tracks is fine but we lose the between song chatter which makes things more interesting. We got the Burlusconi rant but that was because it was mid-song

I'm sure most bands record all gigs whenever possible for their own records. I remember talking to David Ford once who told me he's got everything he and Easyworld ever did on various cd's/tapes etc...

If the Japanese version appears on iTunes, could someone post the links. Failing that if anyone buys a physical copy, any chance of sharing those two tracks?

they'll have recorded it. That's why we have the live tracks all over the place but there won't be a DVD

As mentioned many times in other threads, they did not record the video as it was too expensive (issues with O2 Arena and money, not my place to say anything further..) The video on the night was 'streaming' and not put onto film.

The audio of the gig was recorded in full, and Dave Eringa mixed the tracks for release.

Anyone managed to get hold of the RTF Japan O2 tracks? I keep trawling the net but cannot find them anywhere. Can't justify buying another copy of the whole album but would happily pay for these two tracks to add to the collection!

Maybe they will use the Japanese tracks as B-sides for the next single.

I just bought the Japanese 2cd from ebay.
Will let you know when it arrives.

I'm still looking for the following in FLAC / WAV :

There By The Grace Of God (Live at the O2)
Your Love alone Is Not Enough (Live at the O2)
The Love Of Richard Nixon (Live at the O2)
Revol (Live at the O2)

and this one:

Amazon one-off MP3:
The Masses Against The Classes (Live at the O2)

I'm willing to trade lossless FLAC rips of the Japanese tracks for the above tracks. PM if interested.

I'd sort of assumed that all 38 tracks would see the light of day across the releases of RTF and Futurology (and their singles) otherwise we'll be waiting ages to get the whole gig! On that basis I hope there'd be different tracks for the next single's B-sides, but you could be right. It's going to be really annoying if we don't ever get them all....
