Perhaps they are fans of the X Files spin off Millennium who had a phrase running through it "the time is now". Of course, it referred to man made plagues, demons and angels on earth, and the general end of the world. As an athiest I actually found it extremely interesting!

Oh yeah, but they've said many times that a release was going to take place around Spring 2014, hence the tour (even if it is a bit early).

It should be released when they think of a better title...

POSTPUNKDISCOROCK sounds like a good single.

I think it is really shit as a title. It sounds pretentious also despite it being an actual academic field.

Quite easily the worst album title of the lot. Just feels totally naff.

A friend has heard talk of some of the album and said it sounds very, very Achtung Baby meets early Simple Minds. A LOT of industrial krautrock, electronica and heavy as fuck guitar work. Screaming distortion. I trust my mate as he knew an awful lot about RTF before release and release schefuals. For the doubters he works as an engineer and knows people, sound guys in same circle as the manics.

No track titles mentioned in our track but by all accounts this is a good album to end on if they are planning it.

Thanks for that AK47.

I can't even remember what my reaction was initially now, but I do like the title. Also, although completely subjective of course, I think the title Rewind The Film, (well, most of their albums for that matter), fitted much better once you knew it in the context of knowing/having heard the songs a few times. When it's just a word abstracted from the music and lyrics etc I don't think it's fair to judge a title too much so soon…

If it genuinely touches on even a fraction of the stuff it could do with that title, there are rich pickings for the kind of things the manics have always written about. To underline the point again, it is a real word, about interesting things. I for one am intrigued by it.

Could be futurology the first manics album since lifeblood that doesn't has a title track?
