Being new, I'm curious, and it's hard to decipher tone over the internet, but is DK usually serious with his/her posts or just being humourous?

If the video features Popcorn it will be a magic moment.

Quite a nice person though at times. It depends on wether or not she is fed after midnight.

You can't blame manics fans for wanting/sharing new music, not can you blame the band. Almighty cock up.
If there's a copyright issue too then it's just ridiculous though haha

Especially when the track wasn't leaked or illegallly made available, it was available for purchase on official sites..

It was basically an announcement of an announcement

At least they've bothered to address it now though. Yeah it's confusing and not the start to the Futurology era we'd all have liked but I don't think it'll affect anything in the long run. Most people who haven't been reading this thread probably aren't even aware of exactly what's been going on anyway. We're already all laughing about it so can't be that bad

Their PR company don't actually control the release dates, Sony didn't fuck up, the release date changed and some small retailers didn't get the memo.

Sony and the PR company are almost definitely aware of comments here and on the internet, it's actually the only way they would have been alerted to the leak.

As I said on your fb, it takes time to respond to unexpected issues and the PR company are unlikely to have had an 'oops, there's a leak in Australia' press release to hand. From what I know about the PR company, they seem to be real fans of the Manics and are really enthused about the upcoming album.

The classical pieces are well out of copyright. If there is a copyright reason, I don't think Tchaikovsky raised the complaint.

It probably actually created far more interest in the single/album than would have existed online before. Course they could have achieved that with, i don't know, an advert?
