It's only 32 or 34 more sleeps for Futurology! I'm sure you can find something else to do until then. Bearing in mind that you'll probably have Futurology on for the rest of the year. Will my hair washing be faster or slower when I'm listening to it? That's the question I'm asking the most!

I'm also bored. It'll get fun when a few people hear it, then come on here to say they won't share it. But, you know, they've heard it and you haven't and they just want to let you know. That'll be fun :-)

I've got a couple of albums holding my attention at the moment, St Vincent and The Horrors primarily, Spillers are holding Hamilton Leithauser's album for me, and there is a new Jack White album next week... I think I might just get through this month until Futurology. I am excited about it though.

Giving the Manics a break at the moment, it's been a bit too much since March - lots of gigs, virtually identical setlists night after night. It's like bloody groundhog day!!! They seem to be on autopilot a little, as well. Nothing really interesting happening apart from the leak and studio version of Europa. July seems like an eternity away. I'd rather listen to Wings right now (which I am actually doing...).

The NME track-by-track review has fired me up a little today but I'm getting bored of waiting around.

Oh, I forgot to mention the lack of promo.....

Yeah Jack White is one of those artists that if I start listening to his new album, I will invariably end up listening to Blunderbuss, then The White Stripes discography, then The Raconteurs and a little bit of The Dead Weather too! Lot of love for Jack White.

I've been listening to alot more other stuff recently so it will be nice to have a new Manics album to get my ears into! RTF feels like it was ages ago now!

If you insist on going to multiple gigs then it's bound to get a bit stale. I only did 4 on this tour and really once would have been enough. The album will leak before July 7th anyway. It always happens. I can see the band or James will do a little UK promo in the next couple of weeks. The obligatory Dermot sesh.

Oh yeah, I did 4 myself but it was probably 3 too many I need to cut down the number of gigs I go to now anyway just because my circumstances are changing. A couple of gigs per tour is fine for me.

Hoping there will be a leak, RTF didn't leak until the weekend before so I'm not going to hold my breath! Promo will probably start a week before as well.

Having seen the track lengths, I'm feeling quite patient about the whole thing. Give me the 30-second clips and I'll work the rest out for myself.

Oh yeah, that was around the time the Penguins were still in the playoffs so I got a wee bit distracted!
