Futurology Chart Prediction?
Think it will get to number 3. The albums released from the 7th won't beat the Manics but will probably still be beat by Ed Sheeran and that shit one direction support group.
Your predictions???

What Chart?

I think it'll make the top 5. No.1 would be amazing but it'll never happen. I'll go for 3. I remember when SATT was almost No.1, it was a battle right up until the very end.

The Manics will enter the chart on 14th, right? So I don't think that Ed Sheeran will stay 3 weeks on top, I don't know, but I'm thinking either the album is gonna top the charts, or it's gonna be another number two album.
And yes, I am new here . Thanks for having me |

Looking at other New Releases next week I think it'll be the highest new entry on the album chart. Example is probably the only competition but he'll be lucky to crack the top 10. We just have to hope the big supermarkets take a punt on MSP this time.
7th July Bright Light Bright Light – Life Is Easy Chicago – Now The Enemy – Dancing All Night: Singles, B-Sides & Rarities 06.11.06 – 09.06.14 Eugene McGuinness – Chroma Example - Live Life Living Hillsong Worship – No Other Name Jon Allen – Deep River Lewis Watson – The Morning Manic Street Preachers – Futurology Marc Almond – Ten Plagues:A Song Cycle Midge Ure - Fragile Milky Chance – Sadnecessary Nicola Benedetti – Homecoming: A Scottish Fantasy Paul Oakenfold – Trance Mission Sia - 1000 Forms Of Fear System 7 – Out: The Definitive Single Remix Collection The Nation's Favourite Motown Songs But there are a handful of uber sellers loitering around the top of the album chart at the minute (Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Paolo Nutini, Coldplay, Lana Del Rey). Getting past those is the challenge so I'd say a perfectly respectable #4 or #5. |

I agree with David27 and almostfamous, doubt anything released in the week will better the Manics but unless pretty much all the Ed Sheeran and 5 seconds of summer fans have bought their albums, I very much doubt Futurology will be higher than No 3 unfortunately - which I think is definitely achievable. There is plenty of 'big' competition but there's always momentum in a first week after all and with lots of varied airplay. Top 5 would be very respectable though as you say.
How many copies did Rewind the film sell - around 20,000? I reckon Futurology might do a bit better. Be great if the Manics manage to beat someone by a few hundred for once! |

Not sure if everyone will be aware that the album's even being released this week - I haven't noticed many adverts apart from the ones online which are most likely a result of cookies. Nicky said that they wanted a certain actress to do the voice-over for the TV advert (didn't they have the fella with the glasses for the last couple of albums?), wonder if there'll be one at some point in the week of release? I'd normally expect it to be at least the week before.
Anyway, should be Top 5.

Who even cares about the charts anymore? I only know what the top 10 is from when I go in Tesco to buy a pork pie.
Be lucky to even find it in the high street never mind what number it gets to in the chart |

They'd need a bloody good reason for delaying the album's release by a month, in fact longer when you consider the first promos were issued as far back as early March!
