What was the crowd like, lifeless like most crowds watching the Manics seem to be and only perking up when the camera is on them?

you could hear them singing along though they weren't moving all that much…James seemed more than happy with the response he was getting…doesn't always carry on TV

Really enjoyed that performance - more so than Glasto (despite an arguably 'safer' set).

Bradders seemed to be absolutely on fire and him and Nicky seemed to be really enjoying the set. There seemed to be quite a few little bits and pieces that they did differently to normal performances in songs. As much as I love the Manics, they do tend to keep to playing the songs in the same fashion live, but tonight seemed a bit more improvised (for want of a better word) than usual.

Seemed to feed of crowd's reaction for motorcycle emptiness...bradfield was obsessed, wire cool as fuck and moore banging the drums like his life depended on it..
