true. His voice is great… i don't believe all the changes are all down to his smoking anyway. All singer's voices change as they age regardless whether they smoke or not

So let's be realistic, if they release another bloody version of The Holy Bible, what can we expect? If they release a box set I guess it would be like the full album (disc 1), the US mix (disc 2) so that's the 10th anniversary re-issue already released again, then maybe all the b-sides and some live stuff from 1994 (disc 3), then maybe a DVD of stuff that isn't on the 10th anniversary version, so maybe a new interview, any TV or festival footage and hopefully the Astoria gig and any / all footage that is available. Unless it's something really jam-packed and not a Goddamn rip off I won't buy it until it's dirt cheap.

The Holy Bible was a product of its time. It is irrelevant now, except to nostalgists looking for some blood and guts nihilism. It doesn't need a reissue, or a new tour. It needs to be left alone.

And don't get me started on that Manics album...

Yeah having the bsides on would be essential for me to bother. Reckon it'll be more like the GT boxset from t'other year

A vinyl release is obviously essential. 2xLP, 180gram black vinyl.

But since there's no way a label will only release a vinyl version I imagine some sort of CD will come out....and probably won't be much different to the 10th Anniversary Edition. While I'd love to hear more demos or a complete live show from the time, I'm not holding my breath.

Nicky has said he's keen to release it on vinyl, so there will be that at least (and perhaps at most)

That statement from Nicky 'Clegg' Wire now means it's the one thing guaranteed not to happen.

for the CD, to make it suitable different from THB10 i'd like to see:

disc one - remastered album (UK mix)
disc two - complete demos (all tracks)
disc three - all bsides plus as many unheard studio out takes, radio sessions, etc as possible
dvd - as much good quality Astoria 94 footage as possible

if it's going to be a CD release rather than vinyl only, i'd hope they do a 12" box much like the recent Nirvana super deluxe reissues - also gives them room to chuck in a vinyl copy too, plus a decent sized booklet:

Nevermind
In Utero

...or Radiohead's In Rainbows box:

Those performances are stunning. A few I haven't seen before.

I have the original album, not the 10yr so I hope a 20yr edition might include vinyls, dvd, interviews, b-sides, writings, perhaps a book and I hope they announce a tour soon.
