They did have a strike scheduled for the last bank holiday which ended up being called off, so... hope for the same?

It tends to follow a pattern of "bargain high, rattle sabre, settle for something more reasonable" so let's see. I'm not getting on a fucking bus for this one.

First the Castle announce there will be no disabled parking and now "Road closures will also be in force in the capital on what is already being dubbed ‘Black Friday’ with partial closures from 2pm ahead of full road closures from 5pm." So what are wheelchair users meant to do - parachute in?

Use Queen street or any of the others that are shown as open on that map, presumably. They're only closing the red routes:

If there is anyone who needs to park a bit further afield and would like a hand getting in, I'm sure I could help

I assume buses will still be running, and taxis to a degree. I'm considering booking another night in Newport, or possibly Cardiff.

I'm sure that distance outside and the additional distance inside seem a doddle when you can use your legs.

Doesn't seem too badly priced. Looks like I'll be spending Thursday night hopping between the Brains and Tiny Rebel bars...

(They'll cancel the strikes now I've just booked that room)

What a nightmare for those travelling a long way. I'm not so far but getting the train is much much easier for me. Getting stressed about all the 1D fans gathering to unacceptable levels lol

Yeah I'm with you, I'm only coming from about 40 minutes away but if this had happened in London when I went up to the Camden shows I would've been having kittens! Bloody short notice as well.

For the first time ever decided to drive down to Cardiff from the North East on the Thursday, long drive but relieved. Intend to find parking space on Thursday and leave car there until Saturday morning when we leave.
