Oooh looking forward to the three new tracks. Even the grim one

Need to get a shake on if it’s coming out in 2021. Before Xmas would be nice but surely there’s not enough time now to get it released this year.

A CD version could easily come out this year - mastering, manufacturing and distribution could be done in 3-4 months easily. A vinyl version, unless it's already been booked, would delay it until next year though, definitely.

Of course this is a Nicky interview saying he's leaning more towards getting it finished, which means we'll probably get an announcement and pre-order on Friday knowing his past form.

Thanks for the magazine link. I assume this interview was maybe held a month ago or just over, so we don't know how much has been discussed and planned with the record company, etc. I hope it comes out before Christmas, make a nice present. Just hope it's not yet another completely random shaped boxset! The GATS one is beautiful, sure, but such a huge book with just two CDs at the back is a little strange.

Good points actually.

Very possible that it’ll be announced once TUVL is released (surely they wouldn’t announce it before) and it’ll be ready this year.

Otherwise it won’t really be KYE20

Considering that TUVL has been in the bag since about May, that gives them about 4 months before the tour to pull KYE20 together for Christmas. Here's hoping!

Nice to see confirmation that Nick's 2nd album actually exists (#releasetgewirecut). Hopefully we might see that in 2022 which will give us 3 years of consecutive Manic releases.

Actually it looks like TIMT 20 was announced in October and released in December.

We could well be on course for KYE 20 this year then if that’s anything to go by and of course, if there are no vinyl delays or they’re already ordered.

So happy to see this thread bounced. Better viewed on Tablet for the thing.
Studies In Paralysis sounds hilarious.

One chord for the whole song?

It’ll likely be a sus4.

Hahahaha! I must have misread that line. That does sound the sort of thing the Manics would attempt to do. Midnight Sun got released and these didn't.
I just hope they one day release the stuff they gave up on over the years. No idea how many things got thrown away.
The James Casio Entertainments version of Let Robeson Sing sounds good. (I know, it probably wasn't a Casio keyboard, but the same principle. Damn I want to buy a keyboard to just do shit)

I do think about the demos we have never heard, they tend to put out the acoustic and guitar or run through in the studio demos. They're nice and all but jesus imagine how many versions of faster James went through to get to the final one or the bag lady demo on that jfpl clip.

Reading the article, hopefully with ppl masking up, being sensible etc James won't get a cold come December. A new album, tour and reissue followed by wire solo album in 22. We are spoiled as fans by the manics, they're so prolific.

Nah, they release at a pretty sensible rate, I think. My favourite band have released four albums, an EP and a reissue so far this year. That's the epitome of spoiled: I actually struggle to keep up these days.
