Does anyone have The Holy Bible on vinyl, not as a picture disc - I was (and slightly still am) obsessed with the fact I need this, mostly because I can't find one anywhere. They do exist though don't they, surely they must as it wouldn't make sense not to.

I have a tendency to become convinced I need things I don't have and can't easily get - if I can get them and once I have them I am far less interested.

THB was only released as a vinyl picture disc. There are no black vinyl versions. It's the same confusion that exists for GATS. People believe there is a picture disc version when there isn't.

Are you sure?I remember someone said that he had the black vinyl version of THB?

I haven't ever seen a picture of the black vinyl, but when I was making my discography I saw it for sale on some website with the catalogue number 477421 1. Although that still doesn't mean that it exists because the seller had no picture for it.

Here is the thread: http://forum.foreverdelayed.org.uk/s...ly+bible+vinyl

A_boy_named_rita claims he got it but no pics. Perhaps he can take pictures of it?

I've never seen or heard of any black vinyl so I would like to see pics. It's not been any on Ebay even though that would get the seller quite an amount of money if it did!

Has any of the major collectors seen this or even got it? Could it be fake or some sort of bootleg?

This thread makes me want to go out and buy lots of Manics things

My collection is rather minimalistic in comparison. I've got a few old vinyls and some old press stuff/fanzines, but nothing really rare...

Yeah, I think I've seen it on a couple of dicographys which is why I thought it must exist but I've never seen a photo, and I've never seen it for sale anywhere either - so if it doesn't exist then I think I'd like to know just so I can stop trying to search for it.

A photograph of the sleeve of the black vinyl edition of The Holy Bible can be found in Q's Greatest Album Covers Of All Time (or whatever they called it) from a few years back.

And before anyone asks, I no longer have a copy to scan a picture of it, sorry.

*dogtanian* is going to see through her collection if she got it and/or ask a friend of hers. I really want to know if it's true or not.

And the Q thing sounds interested but who says they didn't just take the cover from the CD

The tracklisting on the front is split between two sides for the vinyl. It definitely is the vinyl sleeve, though, and you can see the circle where the vinyl has been inside it, if I remember correctly.

Hmmm... Let's hope someone really has it then and can provide us with a picture. It seems more and more like there might be a black vinyl version but I really want to see a picture of it.

*edited*

Just had a look on amazon as I was there anyway. They do have a THB vinyl with the number 4774210 but before you rush there to buy it, no-one got it
