I'd rather have multi-track lossless hi-res digital audio files anyway if we're making up fantasy releases.
the ideal weight soundwise is I think something like 125-130 but with 140 the pressing is easier on existing machines, so it's the best compromise. 180g has significantly worse quality and it's always like that - because of so called non-fills.

For a THB release to meet the Steve Hoffman forums' seal of approval...

It would need to be a double album, 45rpm.
Mastered from analogue properly.
Not brickwalled.
Vinyl is clear so black vinyl is coloured - and to paraphrase Michael Jackson, it doesn't matter if it's black or white. Or red or blue, though those colours wouldn't really suit the album.

Do not fuck with the Steve Hoffman forums, Sony...

And even if all the above is met, MP3s of the US mix will still sound superior, so it's all about the packaging.

A 4x vinyl of the original and US mixes. One on black, the other on white, in separate sleeves in an outer box to fit a 12x12 book featuring all the crap Nicky said he found. No extra tat. I'll go up to £60, Wire, and you can release a simple THB vinyl for £15 as well. Run to Sony with this, Wire, RUN!!!!
no, the standart material for vinyl production is black, it's a copolymer or vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate and I think there's some black powder or what.
When you take the same stamper and press on black and coloured material and then compare them, even a half-deaf person can hear the major difference in quality.

I agree with double LP with 45rpm. This would be of course the best variant. on black 140g of course, otherwise it doesn't matter
Do you think an analogue tape with the original un-mastered recording exists? If it does then it would be great, otherwise at least 24-bit digital copy could help a bit but only a bit.

But...the power of Holy Bible is not in the sound
