Its like that here too, if you're not really into music and just buy chart singles then chances are you get them from Youtube and not buying them from iTunes/hard copies. Songs are usually shite so the quality of the sound doesn't really matter.

Only stuff I tend to rip from Youtube is demos and stuff anyway, tracks that I can't get anywhere else. Pre GT Manics being a good example.
