I bloody hate packaging like this! You spend the first 5-10 minutes of owning the CD trying not to destroy its case or put smudgy fingerprints all over the brand new CD. The book-style albums are nice on the outside, but I'm surprised no one has worked on that design flaw.

He was at the Newport and Portmeirion gigs too and various promo appearances, so I assume he'll be doing the rest of the tour as well.

Haven't listened to that album in full for three years now, have no desire to ever again. This one however, has made me very excited about the band all over again. Really needed this to be good...and it is fucking amazing. It's so good actually that i don't want to listen to the demos properly incase they ruin it (which they most certainly will what with Nicky being present on alot of them).

I completely know what you mean. The entire Postcards era left me feeling a bit jaded tbh and I was glad when they took a break after the O2 gig. I think they needed a break from us and we needed a break from them. I was really worried I wasn't going to like Rewind The Film, but I've been so pleasantly surprised by it. It's so much more honest (and not contrived, like Postcards felt to me) and I'd say accurately represents where they are as a band now. They've finally accepted it and gone with what felt natural, rather than trying to make an album they think they should be making. I don't want to over-listen to it either, although all week throughout the day at work I've been getting different songs from it stuck in my head and have even been waking up with them in my head, so it must be sinking in to my brain. It's also been great to see them live again and I'm giddy for Manchester already.
