Does anyone still follow Red Book guidelines? I've got so many 79 minute CDs.
I dunno, the increasing popularity of vinyl bothers me more, album lengths have been gradually falling from 45-50 mins back to about 35 in recent years. It gets especially silly with things like Beatles and Kate Bush boxsets having matching CD and vinyl tracklists, despite the bonus discs being around 38 minutes. An utter waste of CDs.
I think it's a shame that downloads and streaming came along before DVD/BluRay could become a serious format.
