Venues you'd like the manics to play at

Just in case they are looking for a little inspiration for a new tour

I would love them to come play in my hometown at the Perth concert hall. It is a purpose built concert venue and has had a few bands play there before, it takes 1600 standing i think, and has state of the art acoustics, lighting and all that jazz

pics

but aside from all that it would just be a great venue cos it has potential for indoor queueing (it's open all day for the restaurant and bar) it is opposite MandS food hall, and has great access all round it for after show bothering, plus Perth is pretty easy to get to from most places.

where would you like the manics to stop off at on their travels?

Perth concert hall is great. I saw Berliozs Damnation of Faust there and the acoustics are really stunning. It would be interesting to see the place in a 'gig' context.

I'd like to see them play Stirling Albert hall. I saw Morrissey there and it was a great gig with good atmosphere. It holds about 1200. It's a typical victorian music hall type venue with good sound and it quite a landmark in the town.

noooo never sit at Manics gig!! I envy Sam, Amanda and others who were jumping next to the stage at Heavenly, me and my friend had seats and that was horrible, imagine playing Motown Junk and you have to sit patiently, that was horror to me.

Both of the above venues seating can be removed depending on what's on. I agree though, seating for the Manics isn't the best, although I have done it for other gigs and found it ok.

I thought about adding Falkirk Town Hall but that would be taking it too far I reckon For the 'North' people we need Aberdeen or Inverness so I'd vote for the Ironworks in Inverness which is a really nice venue - holds about 800 I think. Aberdeen Music Hall is good but they've played there plus I'm really sick of Aberdeen generally.

For a really random, off the wall venue they will never play, I'd vote for 'The Clachaig Inn' in Glen Coe - essentially a pub surrounded by mountains. Good little stage set up and AMAZING food and drink.

I'd love to see them at Rock Oz'Arčnes. It's a beautiful setting : a well preserved roman arena. I'm sure they'd enjoy it.

Guernsey! We've got loads of good venues!*

Or, more realistically, Jersey Live. There's still time to join this year's lineup and it's September...

Anywhere in London, it's all super accessible on public transport! But preferably the artsdepot in North Finchley.

If they ever come to Milan, it'd be Alcatraz (www.alcatrazmilano.com), basically a disco type of venue which holds a little over 2000 people, it'd be a club gig for them!
But hey, even the likes of Muse and Coldplay played there in the beginning, then they sold out the Forum (over 10.000!)...

Oh well, I can dream, can't I?!

Just somewhere in Birmingham. I would say the Academy but surely that's too small...

Don't think it would be now...
I'd love to see them at the new academy, it's so much better now.

I was going to suggest the Floral Pavilion Theatre in New Brighton, http://www.floralpavilion.com/Content.aspx?ID=33 but I don't think you can move the seats? It would have been a small intimate show, if they ever did an acoustic tour they should go here. But then there's Pacific Road, that's as best as I get for local gigs.
Also, I'm trying to remember the last gig the Manics played in a venue that had "Theatre" in it's name...
