Was it Brfxxccxxmnpcccclllmmnprxvclmnckssqlbb11116?
But yeah, of all Manics references to make that doesn't even seem like a good (or at all tasteful) one. |

Someone at work named his son 'Jedi'. I don't know if he has other children yet.

It wasn't a Manics related thing. It was even dumber than that. I remember seeing the parents on the news at the time (they were kicking up a stink about not being allowed it) and it was text speak. They said that they thought that when they saw the ultrasound they realised it was really "for real" and so of course they thought they'd name the kid that (as you do). Apparently when they were denied it they named the kid Superman instead. Because that is ok for some reason!

In Croatia it is completely normal to call your daughter as Višnja (Cherry) and Dunja (Quince). Actually, even in English it sounds completely acceptable for me... o_O

Haha, it's the same in Serbia! We also have a name Jagoda (Strawberry) but it's considered very old-fashioned these days (which I'm very happy about). Dunja (Quince) is alright though, really nice name.

I used to work with 4 Jamaican sisters and they were all named after flowers, Blossom, Petunia, Hyacinth and Daffodil

However, it's not like ALL fruit sounds acceptable. For example I wonder who would ever call their kid as Lubenica (watermelon)! Or Banana, that is a common nickname, but never a name, too funny. But there is a good Japanese writer whose artistic name is Banana Yoshimoto, though.
