Birmingham 02 (2010 was it? Cannae remember! ) would have been awesome for a meet and greet as there were only a few waiting but they had colds so was out of luck there as well!

Wow, Crici, these are great pictures!
I didn't bother much because I wanted to see the gig through my own eyes, so my best one is ghost-Nicky: This one isn't bad either: and Richard Hawley: Last edited by Valley_Girl; 03-10-2013 at 20:43. |

Does anyone know who was the guy who had to leave before the end of the gig who was trying to convince me there was no good music in the '60's and '70's?

Was this the guy that queued up all day, never heard the new album and left during the acoustic songs because he never knew any of the new stuff? He seemed to talk a lot about Radiohead!

It was annoying me but I try to be stoic about these things. He did it to some nice Welsh girl who went ape shit at him during Nicky's Marlon JD solo. I was gutted to not hear it properly but it was damn amusing. He told me "I've not really heard any manics albums" and that "There wasn't any really good music until the 90's. Maybe the '80's because then they had more instruments". I tried asking him if he knew anything about music history but he wasn't really listening. He wanted to tell me about how good Coldplay are.

The NME review of the gig is dire. Such a shame as it sounded like a great gig and if it was anything like Manchester must have been brilliant. People they interviewed in the crowd loved it, shame it wasnt reflected in the review.......
