What a bizarre reaction. That's not just one of your best b-sides, James, it's one of your best songs! Why you laugh and upset me?

Disk beginning to rotate, faster, becoming a sphere of paler gray. Expanding -
And flowed, flowered for him, fluid neon origami trick, the unfolding of his distanceless home, his country, transparent 3D chessboard extending to infinity.
Inner eye opening to the stepped scarlet pyramid of the Eastern Seaboard Fission Authority burning beyond the green cubes of Mitsubishi Bank of America,
and high and very far away he saw the spiral arms of military systems, forever beyond his reach.
And somewhere he was laughing, in a white-painted loft, distant fingers caressing the deck, tears of release streaking his face.

At least he didn't cry. I'd imagine it's quite a rough song to play from an emotional standpoint.

I think Sepia was just a word he probably hadn't heard since 1996, so it was laughing in a sort of "things I forgot I knew about" sort of way

Nice to see they're happy in the studio and I guess it's understandable James forgets the words occasionally and changes the solo.. his explanation is interesting. lol

Then from time to time they throw out rare songs which don't stick around for whatever reason, the Bath gig before Glastonbury for example.

I personally would love to see more b-sides or unplayed album tracks in the set over the same handful of singles, maybe a rotating approaching like The Cure, but they seem to be unwilling a lot of the time. James has even said that he doesn't like it when he goes to gigs and artists avoid the hits.
So surely now it is time for some unplayed songs on the tour.

There will be, they'll be the songs off of the new album though, and if you're lucky 'Yes' seing as they've rehearsed it. For any deep cuts I'd say lower your expectations and keep your fingers crossed for a nice surprise.

They didn't even play Valley Boy or Sepia live during the lipstick traces in 2003 when they had a much bigger fanbase, nice as it would be I doubt they'll trot them out now.
