I'm heartbroken for HMV buyers. I've just been looking at my own store orders just now.

Incredible it's page 92 and only meanestgreenmeme appears to have heard the album!

Fare thee, Zelandic travelling! I was going to make a thread about the song, but you'll have heard it by time next morning.

Hopefully some platform makes a mistake tomorrow and the album leaks... so well deserved popcorn until the vinyl arrives

I liked D&F first, but after like 8-10 listens it fell flat. The two other songs have no real strengths. Down the very bottom of the bands work.
It’s like they’ve given up or just can’t find that soul, urgency/magic or killer melodies/hooks any more.
So I hoooooooope the album is packed with great album tracks and that Brushstrokes of Reunion is really good.
Decline and fall is the only song that I can hear in my head/remember. I couldn’t tell you how the others go after listening to them all an equal number of times

Wasn't it Amazon Music US that put TUVL up for streaming early when it got delayed? Wondering if the same thing happens again.

It's not only you. I found the last two average, incomplete ideas for potentially good songs. Didn't like Decline and Fall at all, predictable cheese. Overall the quality of songs along with more than half of their output for the last decade has been exactly what I'd categorise as ranking at the bottom of their work.

Like you though, I am retaining some hope that the album contains some good songs. My hopes for TUVL were low after hearing Orwellian but I ended up really loving some of it.

Brushstrokes of Reunion

I listen to the sound of your singing
Now the pain had reached its final limit
The colour of distance had found its mission
It was not a reminder, it was a vision
A vision

I was never ready to feel your pain
To understand the picture on my wall
But then you showed me the colour of your soul
A communication of your love

In brushstrokes of reunion
In brushstrokes of reunion

The garden will never look the same
So beautifully mundane in comparison
You signed it with your name
Then gave it to me, a fragile inheritance
Inheritance

I was never ready to feel your pain
To understand the picture on my wall
But then you showed me the colour of your soul
A communication of your love

In brushstrokes of reunion
In brushstrokes of reunion

In brushstrokes of reunion
In brushstrokes of reunion

I adore all 4 songs so far. I find them all very emotional, Brushstrokes of Reunion perhaps the most of all. I love this band.

Kinda sad that they teased with this https://cdn-p.smehost.net/sites/5cfa...BSOR-45SEC.wav and then did the bait and switch.

Different intro to the 'snippet' was my first confused thought.

Love the lyrics (a sequel to Ocean Spray in some ways) but musically I'm getting a bit of a RiF whiff about this one ,and really suspect it would never have been considered a 'single' if the production delays hadn't happened. Overall I'm happy to chalk it up as a solid album track
