Key information also, it isn't the promoters saying "It's been x years since" for anniversary tours. |

So, very interesting. Something big in 2026.
Could be a best-off-tour, beyond the singles? Accompagnied by double album? Or a huge farewell-tour? Or a new album, with the final final leftover/unused lyrics by Richey? ;-)

30 year anniversary tour of EMG would be my bet. Either that or an American tour to coincide with the World Cup (doubtful though due to both Wales not being certain to be it and the Trump factor)

The guy was talking from a promoters point of view - so may well be gig related. I'd say another Greatest Hits with an arena tour. Possibility of going to new parts of the world too - they like to travel now so could well be South America. Who knows. Glad they are planning shows though. This tour seemed intentionally low key.

Next year is 40 years since the band formed, isn’t it? Wonder if it’s a tour to mark that, whether it’s a hits tour or something more conceptual.

That's what I thought too, but then the next paragraph says it won't be an album anniversary tour. Something for the band's 40th anniversary then? 🤔

Third attempt to post come on knock it off and get to point of post.
No idea how far back in the thread Kieran Evans interviews the band about the new album. They did mention they also had a documentary being put together? I thought that would be completed for release by the end of the year. But if it's something big, I'm thinking mass media theatrical movie run alongside... But they won't be doing any more anniversaries? Damn it but if it's going to be their 40th? And No Manifesto still exists? Well they mentioned a film was getting produced. So whatever doing next year, possibly going to involve that? Oh and The Quietus has posted their review but I'm too busy laughing they've got Sean's name misspelt to post the link. |

Edit: I believe Sparks did this about 15/20 years ago with a similar number of albums under their belt so it can be done.

I wonder how they'd do that, with such varied album lengths. Would they do b-sides as well (that would spread GT out to about three hours on its own)? Which version of KYE would they play? Would Lifeblood's recent reappraisal be enough to get enough bums on seats to make that night worthwhile?
