There are other bands playing on different nights according to the NME article. It suggests it's just the Manics and maybe a support act. Don't quote me though.

Agreed and I'm not even from Scotland. The amount of times I travelled to London last year for various events, it makes a change for a one-off gig to be held elsewhere. Glasgow isn't exactly on my doorstep either, in fact, it takes longer by train than to London, but at least it's somewhere different.

I don't think the 'but more people can get there easily if it's in London' argument matters either when the venue in this instance only holds 300 people anyway. There's still going to be as much of a high demand for tickets as if it was held in London.

People will complain no matter where the Manics play.But it's good to see them choose a different city apart from London for a change.London has had it's fair share of gigs.Give others places a chance.
