Seems you can get the US version (original Mix) on ebay for a fairly reasonable amount. Just bought a copy for £27 with postage.

I got one for $29 shipped within USA. I think retail was $29.99 so I got a bargain haha. I just need a UK pressing. Maybe UK shops will list them online after a while?

I managed to ring up a shop in Bristol and convince them to post me their last copy. Took me a while of ringing around to get one.

Actually (having bought one), it's retail was $24.99. Still not bad.

Ah well I was not lucky to see one in a shop hahaha. I was expecting some major inflation in the price. The real pain will be felt acquiring the UK pressing. shipping alone...ugh.

Anyone actually play the pic disc? Any issue with Revol? How's the sound?

My copy (US Mix) sounded better than the vinyl in the boxset in terms of actually being able to hear it, but there was quite a lot of surface noise on my copy too. This wasn't actually particularly distracting once a song was playing but was audible between songs, especially on side two

I hope people importing from America to the UK are aware of the possible customs charges.

Anything imported into the UK from outside the EU that is over £15 in value is liable to be hit by the VAT (20%) plus charges from Royal Mail (£8 unless it's gone up since last time I had to pay it).

So if you get the vinyl for say, £25, you'll likely have to pay another £13 (£5 VAT, £8 handling fee) on top (it's on the item's value only though, not postage costs).

That's assuming Royal Mail handle the delivery. Various couriers have different fees. Some eBay listing add the charges through eBay so you it gets cleared for you, which can sometimes work out cheaper and quicker (Royal Mail will usually not deliver until you pay).

Sometimes stuff gets through, and it depends on the sender filling out the value info accurately (and legally). Best to assume you will have to pay though, unless you know you paid the fees up-front.

I could be wrong, but I believe importing the other way (UK to America) is no problem as the US lets you import up to a much higher value.

I bought off eBay and for that particular seller they add the customs charges for you.

Pros: you know what you're paying

Cons: you're not getting away with it

So, can these actually be listened to or will it bugger up the artwork?
