I don't remember a Manics album ever getting as mixed a reaction as this. Still haven't heard it..

I approached it REALLY wanting it to be incredible, but I can barely be arsed to give it another chance.

Maybe you'd like to provide me with a link to one of your albums?

Hi people! i Listened to the whole album and i think it's great again!!! i was a little dissapointed about "it's not war", and "some kind of nothingness". but listening to the full album really blowed me away as always!. I think the album is an interesting mixture of all the MSP eras (excepting THB perhaps) and there is a great, great work in the arrangement deppartmen going on on the album.
I consider maybe it's a little bit early to put the album in sort sort of "favourites" list but here it goes!

1-THB (far far away)
2-GT
3-TIMTTMY
4-EMG
5-JFPL
6-GATS
7-PFYM
8-KYE
9-LB
10-SATT

Just listened to the whole album for the first time. My first impression is that its average but i have felt that way about the last four manics albums and eventually loved them. The stand out tracks for me on first listen are golden platitudes and billion balconies. On my second listen now. I think just the end of love works well as an intro but not as a single. I apologize if this has been mentioned before but does anyone else see the similarity between the descent and firefight? The verse part.
