However, the midlands box office, which is about 150 meters away from the venue, is open all day every day. This again is related to the civic, and i'm sure that's where the tickets would be collected from in daytime hours.

Be warned, this is just a guess though!

Thanks for the info. I'll have to look on Google maps and try and find the midlands box office cause knowing me I'll get lost and miss the gig.

Anyone who needs to collect their ticket, meet me early at the Civic (say 3pm or something) and I'll take you down the road to the ticket office. It's not far.

There's nothing to do other than everything you can do in any other normal sized town/city.

There is a shopping centre, The Mander Centre, housing such exclusive boutiques as HMV, shut-down woolies, shut-down Sports Soccer, tesco, starbucks blah blah blah.

There are a few pubs you can spend the afternoon in, erm, there's a load of charity shops, where I've picked up some right goodies over the years. I even bumped into a very-pissed off looking Dave Hill from Slade outside of one. He was looking at a bank balance (it was nowhere near Xmas so it can't of been a royalty balance).

There is also a Forbidden Planet, Waterstones to sit and read in, and lots more of the usual shops.

I actually have grown to like Wolves, despite how the first paragraph may come across.

Oh, and there's a really good museum/art gallery just 5 mins away from the civic. Go to the end of the road the civics on (there's only one way you can go, so worry not), turn left, walk for 5 mins, and it's the big stone building on the left, with a greenery outside it and a church behind it.

Hope this rambling bunch of words has been of some use!?!?

Cheers. I have been before but I can't remember much about the place because I was very hungover and just feeling sorry for myself.. Keep entertained one way or another, ta.

I love that Wolverhampton Council would not throw Fred The Ring Road Tramp off his 'plot', he was an institution (despite needing to be in one) and it shows that sometimes councils have a bit of heart!

anyway, back on topic. You could always kill 10 minutes by stocking up on cack energy drinks at poundland (3 for a quid)

Are there any decent pubs near the venue itself?

I've decided I'm going dressed like Nicky in the Love's Sweet Exile video.

EDIT; and no, I don't mean naked.

EDIT EDIT; Ok, maybe not. Why do Manixfanz have to be so fucking indecisive? I have just gone and bought two new shirt things from charity shops so maybe I'll wear one of them.

Neither can I. I thought it was Thursday today though and I've just been told it's Friday which makes me a little more excited.
