Hmm, I don't really care as much as I would have done a few years ago, I just think the song is a bit dull. Not as extreme as I would have liked (in either direction). Am not going to see them though and will download the album illegally and buy it when it's in the bargain bin in a few months time for £3.

It's not that bad a track, very manics by numbers, not that interesting, it's nice though I spose? Some of it does sound like going for gold theme tune though...

There's always disappointment with new Manics songs, because everyone wants different things. They warned us it was going to be poppy and SHOCK, it's poppy. I like it though.

Not been called a lad in a few years

But yeah, I agree with everything you've said.

All this talk of the song sounding like TV theme tunes like it's a bad thing, do you lot not realise that they're the greatest songs in the world!? They're catchy as AIDS, and the ones from children's shows stay with you for your entire life. I fucking love theme tunes.

it is manics by numbers but i like them so i like this by default.
its got plenty of energy which is going to come out in bucketloads when played live.

my only concern is that if there are that amount of strings all over the album will sean reed shit on them from a great height when playing live?!

Purely to taint the notion that Manics fans dislike the Manics.

excellent wouldn't be what i would call it i think they've gone for that fun factor again because they saw what it did for them with SATT so i think they want to come across a an approachable band and get rid of the idea of them being outcasts

Because that's what their musical taste thinks of it.
