I have to say after listening to it a few times now I dislike the singles the most along with that song that wench sings on. (Not the German one)

"Divine Youth featuring The Wench".
I'd be happy to see that on the back of the CD! What did you think of "Sex, Power, Love & Money"? |

Ah right. I had a friend from Redditch use that term before casually, and then he was a bit surprised at the dictionary providing him with another meaning when I called him out on it!
Divine Youth is brilliant though. One of the highlights. Probably better than the studio version of EGDM. |

Oh I see, the song is called Divine Youth, I never know the song titles unless they mention it in the song repeatedly

I'd like it if they replaced YLAINE with something else off SATT since they like that album so much (the title track perhaps). YLAINE has become a bit of a backing vocal-fest live, James barely sings at all during the verse.

Tolerate is never gonna be dropped. I guess it's just with these festival setlists, when you have a run of songs with the name or chorus repeated over and over, it gets a bit like going through motions....like you stole the sun, tsunami, it's not war, everything must go, tolerate, design for life.

After more than two months, recap time. For me, along with THB and Lifeblood, Futurology is one of their near-perfect albums. For practical, everyday listening, it is their best. (THB is their best if I wanna RELEVANCE MUSIC JOURNO, and Lifeblood if weīre talking personal sentiment).
1) With the addition of the deluxe edition extra tracks, that I still consider part of the album and itīs proper ending, Futurology is as sprawling and even more adventurous than KYE, but with superior quality control. (Itīs Antisocialmanifesto and Kodawari that I consider the extras) 2) It is as sonically interesting as Lifeblood, but does not require the listener to be in a certain mood. 3) Has a mix and production on par with TIMTTMY. 4) Displays a livelier, more positive outlook on things, without veering into SATT/PFAYM schmaltz. With itīs painterly themes, it is that rare album that tries to inspire and succeeds. And donīt even get me started on what a surprise this was, them managing this so late in their career. And how genuinely impressed I am with their work ethic and relentlessness. Everything is going to shit in the world, but they pulled through. And won, finally. |
