I'm the same. Try naming 3 songs off JFPL, it's bloody difficult

Think I can name the first 3!! think its because I mainly listen to music on the bus on my CD Walkman so don't have CD case to hand so never learn the name of the songs unless its repeated in the title

I still listen to Futurology every day at present in the car.
Its an absolute triumph I love Futurology as an opener and the first 6 tracks are so strong its unbelievable. Misguided Missile currently my favorite. |

Yeah thought it might have had more nominations for whatever awards are around. I still play it every single day in my CD player in my room and usually a few tracks on my laptop. Love it.

I doubt the Mercury panel ever made it past that lame excuse for an opener.

Agreed, the album 2 months in is still sounding as vital as it did on first listenings. I really feel the Manics have made an astonishing comeback after a few years of less well received albums and a bit of direction loss.
2007's SATT was what brought me back into the fold, but really it is the last 4 albums - when you think of it, it's amazing, FOUR album, in 5 years, that contain such high quality material. The 2013/2014 era will be one of my favourites in years to come, RTF and Futurology, as well as the 14 Bonus tracks from both albums/singles; on my ipod it's a trilogy of albums. And a trilogy that I can barely find fault with; RTF I discovered late (only recently, after the Futurology hype), and thought it was absolutely wonderful; a beautiful piece of music. |

Sorry Gabo, meant 12^ I guess wishful thinking; Nicky mentioned 9 bonus tracks were done, so far we've had 7, and honestly, I like all 7.
The 5 from RTF are very worthy also; I put all together on ipod as an album; the Manics are in such a great place artistically at the moment. Great time to be a fan! |
