yeah i've found that. really no need to stand around for hours outside the civic. but telling a manics fan not to queue is like a fish not to swim. the multiple doors are really gunna piss off those strange and sad folk who seek to make a list of the first people in the queue to maintain order and justice.
i shan't be queuing much this time round.

Now I'm getting excited all over again, missing London was a good idea, because I'm getting the pre-tour tingly feeling twice.

Holy fuck, it's tomorrow!
I know this has been asked already, but I'm still not sure...where is the best place to park? I want to wait for the band after, so ideally want to park where others have so we can walk back together.

the best place to park is the multi story car park across the road from the civic hall

I've made the decision that, for the first time in my life, I am NOT going to wear make-up to a Manics gig. Basically, I don't have any contact lenses at the moment and I've been unable to get a prescription for new ones in time for the gig. So I'll be wearing my glasses tomorrow and wearing glasses with make-up (when you're a man) is a bad, bad look. I may still bring my boa, but yeah...I won't be getting glammed up.

I'm quite depressed about this to be honest

Slight difference, my friend - Mr Edwards was a sexy fucker who looked good practically 99% of the time. I'm a hideously ugly specimen at the best of times (who somehow has a gorgeous woman in his life!) aand so I'm lacking in self confidence about pulling off the 'glasses+slap' look ala Mr Edwards in the above photo.

You're not hideous, but fair enough. No one is ever gonna win in a 'dress up like Richey' situation.
The gig will still be fun though, so don't let your glasses ruin it!
