I agree with this, nobody gives a toss about singles compared to what it was like 10 years ago.

Yeah, that's a major factor these days. Very sad.

I'll buy 'singles' from iTunes. Mainly from artists that I like only one song. Usually I just buy the entire CD.

I don't know why anyone would buy a single these days. I only buy manics for the physical completeness and the bsides.

People here tend to buy either CDs or 'single' downloads. I've never even seen an actual 'single' since the 1980s here.

Talking of physical music single purchases, I was looking through some of my music the other day and stumbled across a copy of supersonicwaves by Regular Fries/Kool Keith which I bought at the time for the JDB remix. The Kool Keith vocals still aren't really my cup of Rosy Lee but there's some sweet guitar licks and a killer solo by Bradders on that remix.

I don't really buy singles anymore but I got the SKON ones on iTunes. Love the live tracks especially. "work with me...work with me..."

I can't imagine SKON appealing to too many teenagers, who I expect buy most of the singles these days.

The teens would just buy the download. No need for a physical copy. I only bought SKON for the b-sides and the signed (hopefully) sleeve.

If I didn't buy the single just to be complete, I'd just download the b-sides, like I do with every other band.

Most Manics B-sides aren't available to download for anyone outside the UK. They may be commercially available to the UK, but not to anyone else.

I'm just going to listen to the b-sides on Spotify when I can be bothered.

The only bands that I really bother with the b-sides are MSP and The Wildhearts. The Wildhearts produce some absolute stunners on their b-sides. Anyone who doesn't know what I mean should just treat themselves to a copy of 'Coupled With' - it's sublime.
