I tried Preston today, early on and then again in the afternoon, they had Q, but not the special edition. I'll have a look again tomorrow. If someone else could pick up a spare for me I'd be very grateful, just in case they've sold out. I'll reimburse you, of course

Ordered mine online, but I'm in North America, so I have a feeling it'll be another few weeks heh. I did get a confirmation email when I placed the order!

solidarity - i am sure the confirmation of order mail spoke of "6 - 8 weeks"? fingers crossed you and i, as well as all others outside the UK, get lucky and it arrives in decent time.

is it the same 25th Birthday Edition of Q that my Dad just brought back from the UK? if so, the magazine is not so much a bit shit as it is genuinely fucking awful. it's basically adverts and then page after page of "celebrated artists" discussing their best and worst albums of the last 25 years. the odd interesting comment in passing, but really nothing memorable.

Mine says it will ship within 28 days...it's been 16 days since I ordered it, so we'll see what happens!

They had about 8 in Cheltenham Smiths. Probably got boxes of it 'out the back' They could have at least made it a coloured vinyl or something.
Never bought Q before. Won't be again. Just as awful as I imagined it.

Seems like all of them!
Surely thats more shops than Manics fans who buy vinyl ?

And most people who buy Q will already have bought this issue about 3 weeks ago when it came out.
