I got my tickets too & park & ride passes. Can't wait now, so excited, the album is truly beautiful & I can't wait to hear something from it live.

Festival No. 6 just posted this on their Facebook, travel info and such: http://www.festivalnumber6.com/userf...-INFO_2013.pdf
...a well-intentioned shambles, methinks. It looks like I'm going to have to get a taxi there and back, and having to go via the park and ride to pick up wristbands when you're not using said park and ride seems daft. There doesn't seem to be much provision made for people without their own transport, unless you want to pay through the nose or twice over. Rrrrgh. Also, they replied to someone asking about stage times to say they won't be released until the festival. So this information about travel is only of limited use, really. Further, more elongated rrrrrrrrrrgh.

Use the park & ride! Looks like the bus is going from Porthmadog which is so close . There is only a teeny car park in Portmeirion hence the no parking.
Not bothered about seeing the Manics but it'd have been nice to go. My mum said she could hear the music from our house last year! |

I'm coming from Criccieth, so by the time I've gotten a taxi the park and ride I don't think it'll be worth it. That said I don't entirely get how the park and ride works, at times they're going on about paying for it and at other times saying it's free. ;____;
Where have they got this idea that Bangor is the best station to go to, as well? There's at least a billion stations that are nearer that you can easily get connections to, but which aren't serviced by any kind of shuttle bus or anything? Oh, I don't understand *wails*

Yeah, I see what you mean.
Bangor is the nearest station in terms of actual good train line. The one in Penrhyn or Minffordd is for the slow train that goes via Birmingham of which I'm sure you know what I'm on about from your Aber days haha. |

Oh I do. I think that must be the one I'm coming in on. NEARLY 6 HOURS *double airpunch*
...oh God does that mean it's going to do that thing where it splits in half at a random station and I end up on the wrong part and stranded in Machynlleth O__O

I don't know why the festival organisers seem averse to giving out any information. That was all I needed! I can sort stuff out now!

I went last year and nothing was announced until the last minute then either. Once you get there it's all fairly well managed though (except for them not allowing anyone into the main area until about halfway through the first band's set).
