Normally when I hear something new I'm disappointed the first time I hear it, before it grows in subsequent listens.

This song is a classic example of that, except without the growing on me bit.

What's with the minute of nothing at the beginning? Yeah, it picks up a bit when Bradders comes in, but that's three minutes in.

If this is the song being used to sell the album, I hate to think how dreary the rest of the album will be.

And I was very excited to come home to find news of a new Manics single and tour.

Opening chords? 90% of the music is the same.

I really like it.

Could be a very different and interesting album indeed.

Hate to say it but... it's elegaic pop, isn't it? Perhaps it'll be THB for thirty-somethings...

4 albums late is better than never.

A Little Girl Lost would pass for an instrumental of RTF minus the chorus if you didn't know better. It's bizarre, right down to every detail of the production being identical.

And all they've said is, it's like something from Love's Forever Changes...

Lovely song. Although I'm worried now, because it's almost time for the Manics media backlash to start up again, every five or six years I recall.

ps Is this the 'Nebraska-esq' album they've been meaning to make since the 90's?

Give them a break, the album promotion hasn't really started yet. Nothing from the band really, not focused on album promotion anyway. Just the press release.
