Haha acoustic Slash N' Burn? Sounds like a bit of a novelty that one. Bit disappointing that they've probably already decided on the setlist though, wish they'd be a bit more spontaenous.

Aye, shame really. Seen much more variation in the acoustics than the regular set over the tour. I've seen Stay Beautiful, You Stole The Sun From My Heart, Little Baby Nothing, Small Black Flowers That Grow In The Sky, La Tristesse Durera, The Killing Moon and Last Christmas. Fingers crossed for Ready For Drowning or summat like that but it'll probably be You Stole The Sun again.

Spoiler much Nicky?!

If they play it acoustic it'll be a major cop out, though.
Go for it dammit, plug those guitars!!

Either way, there's still Slash N Burn at the Brixton shows somehow.

I took it as 'Beautiful JDB solo. Slash N Burn for London shows'. Would Nicky be as 'confident' as to describe his own work as beautiful?

Nice to see they're breaking out something new at last. Shame they couldn't have managed anything interesting for Birmingham.

We all just need to stop trying to interpret what Wire means. This is how religious wars got started.

The Manic Street Preachers civil war: 1996-Ongoing.

I think Nicky Wire is the last person who knows what Nicky Wire means.

Has Bradfield ever played a solo on a track called Midnight Sun? If so, who is it by and, more to the point, why have I never heard it???

EDIT: Ok just read back a page, Midnight Song is the myserty "lost" track that was discovered during the PFAYM era, but must have originated from the KYE era, hence must be a cracking JDB solo (as most solos were from that era)

Slash 'n' burn would be in my top 5 manics songs I've not heard live, that i would love to see them play. However, acoustic = yawn and just plain lazy.
