Usually get an announcement about album releases between 6-8 weeks prior to the release date. Wonder if Walk Me To The Bridge will be a similar release to RTF (the song) where it was announced/released as a standalone release pretty much on the same day as the album announcement in July last year. The album came out a couple of months after it. SMTW was premiered on 22nd July, so that was a couple of weeks after RTF. Did expect an announcement on Monday after the conclusion of the UK tour.
Kieran Evans was saying the video would be available "v. v. soon" as early as the Cardiff date so I would expect it to be fairly imminent.

Can't help but think there will be a Bowie 'Low' period influence. Its very European sounding plus they've twice (to my knowledge) used a song as an intro for themselves. 'A New Career In A New Town' was used on this tour.

Cdon.com, which is a big music/movie/games/etc online store in Scandinavia, is listing Futurology (LP, cd, deluxe) with a release date of June 23rd 2014. Oddly enough it says it's an import, distributed by Bertus.
However, I still got my fingers crossed for a June 20th release. In Finland new albums tend to come out on Fridays, and last year we got RTF already on Sept 13th ![]() |

Wonder if this will go live in the UK tomorrow morning (midnight?)...
Here's a link to a large image of the album cover.

What a mess this marketing campaign has already been.
Also surprised by the choice of opening track. |

It's all going wrong! I felt so encouraged by the new material we heard on the tour. Now we hear the single and it's mediocre at best, we get the tracklisting and there are some bloody awful titles on there and the album cover...fuck me, I could've done a better job.

Futurology - Great song based on brixton shows EGMD - Fantastic song LGTW - Storming song Album cover? kind of goes with the stark look Nicky was going for. I'd have preferred Sean Bean as Ned Stark personally. Some dodgy song titles though but so were So Why So Sad and Empty Souls. Two great songs. Have faith!

'Divine Youth'? I see Nicky is stealing right back from All Saints (clothing brand, not girl band) after they used that picture of him and Richey without permission...

My problem with the cover is that she seems to be floating. That makes me think of the badly photoshopped girl from SATT's cover.
They've made me think of SATT. It's difficult to recover from that. |
