6 discs boxset??!! I'm trying to convince myself that I don't need it but I'm pretty sure I'll end up by buying that as well. Well, unless the price won't put me off.

It seems the boxset is no longer listed on HMV Japan website. It was also listed on cdon.com for a few days for 104 euros and a provisional release date of 8th Dec, but it's now been removed.

Do you think we'll get #THB20 merchandise as well as selling off the stuff they had left over from the Futurology shows.
I hope the "Who's Responsible" t-shirt comes back. And the CV cover with all those pictures of Christ, I hope that becomes another t-shirt. |

I think they should do a "Yes" shirt based off the aborted Yes single, but using the new TSB logo. I know TSB's slogan is no longer "The Bank that likes to say Yes", but that would be pretty cool.

Interesting, so if that's all accurate we're looking at an extension to the 10th box of B sides and the Astoria.
Not sure that there's really enough on there to warrant the customary extortionate price for their latest box sets (although I don't know that there's really much else we could reasonably expect) but I suppose we'll see.

Why don't they just release whatever pro shot footage they have from the astoria on dvd and hopefully also film the roundhouse gig for release. They've always been great live performers and it's annoying they've only got two dvds available. Not filming the national treasures gig at the o2 was also a massive mistake

I expect the 6th disc (if you count the lp as a disc) may be a dvd. Would be abut odd the miss it out.
The b-sides cd is abut disappointing, containing all the live tracks and YLU that was already on GT20. Seems just like filler. Would of rather of seen more demos. Speaking of which the demos, sessions and live tracks from the previous release are all missing. Astoria; just saw an original BBC Astoria 94 promo sell on ebay the other week for something like £130, may have be the same tracks. If so i'm glad I didn't buy it. Intrigued by the extra version of Revol, but thats about the only that stands oyt so far. |

With it's 'spoken middle 8'... maybe that's what the extended middle section on Jools was all about?

That's a bit shit really. I was expecting demo's at the very least. Disappointed that the only live material is only from a recording that's widely available on the internet. With the exception of revol, I had everything in this compilation since before the 10th anniversary. Hope they don't force people to buy the whole set just to get the LP....

Yes very disappointing if true. You love us as a bside was scraping the barrel at the time so to stick that on here makes no sense.Living in vain hope that there is a 6th disc of actual rarities because they must have demoed the album in full ? Hard to believe that all of those early versions of Faster JDB often mentions didnt get at least 4 track demoed too .
They must realise that the reason the GT rerelease was so well received was the amount of unheard material. A new version of the song they have spent the last 20 years slagging off may not get the same reaction! |
