I think it's more down to timing issues than anything, especially if it's not wristbanded so there is not a set amount of people allowed in.
Fuck that then, there's no point in going in that case. Plus you'll probably have a lot less than a minute talking to the band which isn't a long time considering all that hassle you have to go through.

if it was JLS or one direction then yea they'd have to be strict or chaos would ensue. I can imagine those being mental but for the manics? There'll be a lot of older fans there who'll be much calmer. I'm sure the rule will still apply to keep things going. People will want to talk to the band and hold up the queue i guess so they'll be told to shift

Well don't then! Maybe I took it wrongly, it seemed like people complaining the band weren't doing enough.

I spoke to someone in Cardiff HMV today, they said they weren't sure on details yet but they thought it would be wristbands only and that they might open at about 8am on the Monday so people can get them beforehand? They also said to keep an eye on the website for details.

Well my school workshop I had booked for that afternoon have just cancelled, so I have taken this as a sign that I should book the day off and spend it loitering around Manchester HMV...

The HMV in Leeds was really strict for the Idlewild instore I went to and Idlewild have about the most casual fanbase on the planet I think it's more a timing issue than anything else, because they have a lot of people to get through in a limited time.

I've booked the afternoon off for the Manchester one. Does anybody know if they allow multiple signings? I'm buying a couple of copies for two friends and wish to get them signed too - a friend is coming to get his own copy signed though so would they mind if we both took two up?

can't see why not. As long as they're copies you've bought there.

Don't forget the clocks go back an hour that weekend!!! I'm going to the Cardiff signing, I know it'll only be a flying visit for them but still worth going.

Is there a chance the manics will actually publicise these?
