Cant complain about those three, but would've liked more songs in the pack.

Another fan asked me if I knew where to find a Nicky demo version of YLAINE that was apparently released a few years ago...I feel like I've heard it before but I wouldn't know where to access it now. Any suggestions?!

If you're thinking "Ruddy hell, it's been aaages since Resistance is Futile was out" console yourself with the terrifying fact that "The Greatest Sh**man" is still in the UK Top 5 album chart.

You think that's bad...... Five years ago Futurology was kept off the number one spot by X by Ed Sheeran.... Which still hasn't left the top hundred!

Although it was Wales sport related, Together Stronger actually topped the physical charts.
Maybe it could cost more rather than bringing out an album but I'd love to see them have a run of stand alone singles. The success of The Greatest Showman makes a case for separate soundtrack charts. A theatrical Manics album would be really weird. I know Showman is a film, but that sort of bombastic embellishment. Put it into the guitar solos instead! |

Not many people, but streaming keeps it there.

Saw James at the Homeless world cup last week, cool little solo set replete with a version of 30 year war and a solo rendition of Motorcycle Emptiness. Michael Sheen was there too hanging around like the legend he is.

I wonder what 'endless parade of old Etonian scum' prompted that ! Good on him, that song gets more relevant by the day

Having been reminded of it , I wish they'd add some new lists to the lists sections on the official site. It's been almost ten years since the last one!
(Also, I can't stop laughing about the one where James describes Nicky as a 'Man who eats Peaches') |

Didn't catch all of the show. Be very very surprised if Manics played, but Kasabian on Kerrang! TV picking videos from other bands as well as playing their own videos.
But got me thinking, why don't they let the Manics host those shows? Thinking about it, last time they ever hosted anything like that was 2007 wasn't it? NME TV would have if still running. Or have they never hosted such a show (Nicky had Zane Lowe interview in 2003 but I don't think the video choices were his own) in the first place? Either way, I think a live (or day earlier recorded) TV broadcast should be the way to come back with next album. It won't. Album not in any shape to be removed probably. But still got a point. Why don't Music TV channels acknowledge the Manics these days? |
