Takk, the nervous and not liking interviews part makes sense. I can have my arms crossed which some people may find defensive, but really, I'm cold. Or I may have a stain on my sleeve. Or a scratch or bruise on my arm. Or I could have something itching me on my face (i.e. a bug bite) and I'll be rubbing it. The interviewer could also make a small comment about there being a lot of studio lights and that the guest has a sensitivity. Simple things.

And of course sensitive eyes would explain why he's usually got his eyes shut in post-gig fan photos using lots of flash!

My boyfriend is very sensitive to light and has a huge sunglassses collection. He wears them in winter too, and when he was in bands, he always wore them onstage because the light hurt his eyes too much. /yay anecdata

All that flashing of lights at gigs must be tough for him if he has sensitive eyes. The delicate flower!

Most times I have interviewed him it's been a case of glasses on/glasses off, many, many, many times...

my most recent interview shows the amount of times glasses are on/off here - Kev takes pictures pretty much throughout so this is a good indication.

I've always assumed it was a matter of him being a bit self-conscious, despite all his bravado. I find it quite sweet.

Regards,
Marwood.

It's all about baseline behaviour. Continual face touching could be a way of pacifying rather than concealing a truth.

The usual ideas about what people do when they lie is not always the case. You have to look at how someone behaves when they are relaxed and then look for deviations in that behaviour to see if they are not being truthful.

It makes sense to wear sunglasses in a situation where there are a lot of lights (most of which are REALLY bright) pointing at you if your eyes are sensitive to light.

I wear sunglasses outside on overcast days, because, even though the sun is blocked by clouds, it's still too bright for me. In fact, last time I was at the optometrist's office, I asked him about it because I was afraid that I might have the start of cataracts on my eyes. He said that my eyes are okay, and they just are sensitive to light. Unfortunately, though, my eyes are not as pretty as Nicky's (so jealous of blue eyes)!
