Know Your Enemy was an exciting time... I remember being really hyped up by it, the build up, the gigs, the album itself. Golden Manics Time.

At the Leeds Festival 2001 Temple Newsam they played from Know Your Enemy - LRS, MEDD, Ocean Spray, Found That Soul, as it had just come out. I dont think there is tv coverage though as the bbc only report from Reading...

Aww. I'm not sure why it appeals so much but I really love that song!

And Royal Correspondent.

Back then Radio 1 sometimes used to take the audio feed from Leeds from time to time, but any TV coverage is bound to be from Reading.

Oh sorry, I missed Royal Correspondent off the setlist.

I think Radio 1 still do audio feed, but really with a decade on I think it's time for more tv coverage. Do you think there is inequality and media bias in the bbc and are they actually more political? I think they're good with documentaries etc, but I think regional stations are more genuine about things.

It’s one of my favourite Manics b-sides.

The Ballad Of The Bangkok Novotel is fantastic.

Getting extremely difficult now. Love all the remaining tracks.

With Reading/Leeds, the main issue is that Reading is the heritage of that festival. Although Leeds is now very well established in the North, that's happened at a time when the BBC has reduced its coverage of live music. It would be nice to see and hear shows from Leeds, but most bands play the same setlist at both sites, so it makes sense to do just one. Perhaps they should alternate the years?!
