I like the idea that some little venues do which is just like a check-off list and you show ID.

I wish I could afford to go to this - it's in half term week as well. BAH.

But as for people not from Scotland travelling up for it - why the hell shouldn't they? Yeah, it's bloody galling when the same people go to every gig and you're sat at home because you can't afford it and yes, when the Manics played Truro, I had a brief moment of: "Why the hell should I be squished right on the end of the barrier when this is MY gig?!" But then I realised it wasn't my gig, it just happened to be shockingly local (they'd never played there before, or as James put it: "We'd never even heard of this town" - I still insist my constant moaning that they should play there paid off... ).

The people who are first to get tickets are the people who will make up the audience - that's the simple fact of the matter. They pay the same amount for the tickets and if they're prepared to pay to travel as well, then who is anyone else to tell them they're not allowed to, really?

this isnt a tour tho' so i think its a bit daft to complain in this instance. They can't help that the venue is in glasgow as others have said.

Accommodation etc on top of that, plus ticket, you are talking £250 for a gig.

Because that's a pretty good price, it's not really that far, and the place will be full of FD people so you won't be on your own. You should do it!

Yup, exactly right. no one is allowed to go without my permission.
