I thought the same at first, I had to triple-check! It was someone in Sheffield who told me about it, so I'm hoping it's true... I should be able to go this time

Yay! I want to see James "NANA-NAAAAA!" again! I'll get that sorted later...

I guess it still has that stupid pre-emptive age limit, which is shit as my sister would love to go.

How weird to re show it with almost the same write up in exactly the same place a year later. Not sure if I can be bothered this time - I guess it depends how much its changed.

From the Cardiff to the Sheffield screenings it had changed quite a lot (so if thats the case again and it might change again still I'd want to see it as otherwise there might be small clips of the manics I'd never see, and imagine the tragedy of that) but the way it was presented last year made it seem pretty close to a final cut.

Though that said it didn't seem to quite flow or give you any sense of why the documentary existed so there was room for more work - dunno, just seems an odd move. Maybe they really liked Sheffield.

right TRAIN TRAVEL FROM LONDON.

Kings X to Doncaster then change to Doncaster to Sheffield, sheffdoc is 2 mins walk from station. = only 2 hrs 30 mins journey at about £80 return.

That's last years showing, all the films listed from last year are still up. It mentioned somewhere on the site that this years won't go up till October.

Quote:
Sheffield Doc/Fest will be announcing 2009's film programme in October 2009.

Popular strands like Green Docs and Music Docs will be making a come back while we feature a few new ones - which we’ll tell you about very soon.
Since there's a music strand you never know they may show it again

Oh right, damn. Well, as I say, my friend from Sheffield says it is going to be shown this year, so I just hope they're telling the truth...

I rang up the Sheffield fest to find out about this. That's last year's listing (despite the date of 2009, which they described as "holding text"). There are no plans to screen No Manifesto at the Sheffield Doc Fest this year.
