Its Ok - So So - Average

it does sound averagely user friendly. i'll give it time. I gave JFPL long enough before I loved it

Nope, I don't mind it. On the other hand, I don't think it adds anything. His line in YLAINE made the song. On this, it's just a bit confusing.

It's 1996 all over again.

I mean that in a good way.

Manics fans are the strangest set of fans in music I think, to match the strangest band in the world, and I thought Aston Villa fans were bad..... win ten games, and lose one and suddenly we all want to sack the manager. With the Manics they make one album full using leftover Richey lyrics and everyone loves it, they return with an all-out pop/rock single (which they have stated many, many times) and people are up in arms complaining and demanding another Yes or Intense Humming of bloody Evil!

Stop analysing the songs so much, relax and enjoy the damn thing. It's a pop record, nothing else. And who cares if it sounds like some advert? The idea is that it sticks in your head, which is what a pop record is designed to do. The song is NOT Manics-by-numbers, it doesn't have a typical Manics sound for a start (raucous guitars, choppy drums etc). THB era Manics is probably what typical Manics sounds like, really. But for a band that change sound after every album, it's difficult to pin-point what they sound like but I still think THB is the archetypal sound. Anyway, sorry for the rant

Love you.

I love the way it's only the people that hate it who think their opinion is objective. Everyone else is unreasonable or suffering from blind faith. Brilliant.

Still haven't heard it yet but I'm pleased with the amount of positives on here. I know I'm going to love it so I'm not worried!

It's almost like they're saying "we're better fans than you because we like their so-called good stuff". Dunno really, it's a shame.

Ahem...I don't hate it, I think it's a good pop song. It's not amazing and I would've liked it to have an interesting middel 8th, but it's still enjoyable. I'm always objective about the Manics because I honestly love them as a band. And if you genuinely love something you have to be capable of being objective about it.

So kindly rephrase, madam!

Don't listen to the comments, make your own mind up when you get to hear it. The vocals are brilliant, I really love the delivery from James.
