Anyone know if there was a Setlist quote for the second half?

Was a really amazing but overwhelming experience at times. I felt kind of physically sick during Intense Humming of Evil. Also who were the twats moshing to 4st 7lb? James messed up on the lyrics a couple of times noticeable in 4st 7lbs? Think they will get more confident with it as it goes along. Faster was out of this world - sounded even better than usual being in among the other HB songs.

The second half did feel like a relief - especially with the songs they played that are lyrically much simpler and the instrumental too. Both wonderful sets but I would have loved to see some James acoustic songs too.

I can see why they played as a 3 piece and glad they did, but I prefer to hear them with an extra guitar.
Cheers Pretty excited for The Roundhouse now.

I'd been to Barrowlands the three nights before for The Biffy gigs, but didn't think I could cope with the intensity of a Bible show the following night!

That sounds pretty good really.

Am I the only one who thought Die in the Summertime sounded really off like they were playing it in a higher key? Thought they would have that nailed by now, practically a regular set song these days....

Some annoying people in the crowd:

Crowd surfer with a man-bun who was repeatedly trying to get back into the pit in an irritating manner. "Excuse me, do you mind if I squeeze past", with a petulant Glasgow uni voice. Destroy.

Group of obnoxious eccied people near the front who wouldn't FACE the front and kept talking to their pals. Hope they drank too much water.

Guy dressed in white wearing a feather boa who smelled very strongly of sick, who was completely off his face and kept taking selfies and his arm round other people who didn't want to get too close. He finally left to try and get to the bar and immediately collapsed on the ground. Mega lolz. Guy next to me, to his friend: "I'm surprised you put up with that. It would have taken all of me not to smack him in the face". He actually reemerged during Design For Life, hence my cue to step back from the front.

Dreaming A City was ace. Nicky played 4st 7lbs with his eyes shut and looked genuinely distressed throughout it.

Forgot to mention - walk on music was Dust Brothers remix of Faster from the She Is Suffering single. Worked incredibly well.

Can any other guitar nerds out there offer any theories as to why Jimbo went with the Jazzmaster for the majority of THB section? Looks like it has humbuckers in it. My theory is that it is simply a lighter humbucker guitar but I'm not sure. Could it just be for the whammy bar?

I thought it might have been for the whammy, I had a feeling he'd use a strat for most of it.

I think he played a jazzmaster on a few of THB tracks in the studio, so maybe it was to recreate the original sound as closely as possible?

Just theorising.

As for the pickups, they just looked like the standard p90s to me, but i will take another look.
