Listening to it. These days I still skip Of Walking Abortion. Currently on Archives of Pain.
They say they never made an album like this again. But you can hear it in the guitars. The music is the silent fifth member of the Manics. On every album the guitar, maybe not the exact make but it's exact function in use to the song, every album done since the guitars still howl Archives of Pain sounds. Happy Birthday The Holy Bible! |

Happy Birthday THB. Always really appreciate the sound of the bass on this record, really bouncy and punchy with the Jah Wobble influence. It's a shame that Nick is usually buried so much within the mix though nowhere as bad as on a Metallica record

Going to listen to the 20th anniversary vinyl today. That'll give me something to do this evening. Don't think I've listened to it since the release day in 2014.

Make the thread when which dates confirmed. But a poster, in fact a camera photo of a poster confirms Manics support for Oasis '25 tour. There seemed other acts similar size font to MSP so probably a poster of Oasis's total number of support acts for each venue. So just Cardiff next year supporting Oasis? Well hello bottle of piss thrown across audience again. Wondered where you'd gone.

It had Cardiff written underneath. And also, condolences to those who couldn't get tickets. Sounds an absolute joke and I'm grateful the Manics haven't had that type of ordering bollocks! |

I got very lucky and got one of the pre-sale codes and had a relatively stress free seven minutes of ticket buying yesterday so didn't have to endure today's utter balls up of a sale. |

Thanks - not quite as exciting as the Manics but I reckon they'll put on a decent show.
I suspect seeing as gates are opening at half three there'll be another support or two, but I guess they won't confirm everything yet. |

I think if I read it right Fontaines are at every gig. Of course the poster might not be correct.

Essentially I would have been walking into an empty room then!

On the new song 'Decline and Fall' I think James seems to switch the chorus around a bit, perhaps the lyrics are out soon with the album
